A family chore app with no per-child fee
A family chore app is where parents assign household chores and kids check them off on their own devices, and ChoreSplit is a free one that covers every kid in the house on one account.
The free plan has no time limit. Plus is $9.99/month or $95.88/year for the whole household and adds points, streaks, a leaderboard and photo checks.
How ChoreSplit works for a family
- 1
A parent sets up the household
Add chores and give each one to a person, on a daily or weekly schedule. Free covers unlimited members and unlimited chores.
- 2
Kids join with a family code
No email address needed. Each kid sees their own chores in any web browser, or in the iPhone and Android apps.
- 3
Points, streaks and rewards keep it going
Kids earn points, build streaks, and climb a family leaderboard toward rewards you set, like screen time or a movie night. Points, streaks and the leaderboard are on Plus; free includes one reward.
- 4
A photo shows the chore got done
On Plus, a kid can submit a photo of the finished chore. Approve it yourself, or let AI check the photo against the chore first.
- 5
The parent has the final say
You set how sure the AI must be before it approves a chore on its own. Anything below that comes to you with the photo, and you set every reward.

Free vs Plus
Plus is $9.99/month, or $95.88/year ($7.99 a month), for every member of the household. Full details on the pricing page.

Who it is for
- Families with two or more kids who want one app and one price
- Parents who want proof a chore got done, not just a ticked box
- Kids who respond to points, streaks and a family leaderboard
- Kids who split time between two homes
- Families on a mix of devices: it runs on the web in any browser with no install, plus native iPhone and Android apps
Not for you if
- You want a debit card or to pay kids real money through the app. ChoreSplit is not a bank and holds no money.
- You want shopping lists or meal planning. ChoreSplit does chores, projects, points and rewards only.
- You mainly need a shared family calendar. Chores can sync to Google or Apple Calendar on Plus, but it is not a calendar app.
- You want a dedicated wall display. ChoreSplit runs on a tablet or phone you already own.
