Two motivation models

Joon vs ChoreSplit
Virtual Pet vs AI-Verified

Joon motivates with a pet that grows when a parent confirms each quest. ChoreSplithas AI read a photo of the finished chore against what the chore asked for, so you only review the ones it wasn't confident about — and the points go toward real-world rewards you set and grant.

Is ChoreSplit or Joon better for a child with ADHD?

Joon is designed specifically around ADHD: a virtual pet that evolves, daily quests, and parent coaching built into the product. ChoreSplit isn't ADHD-specific, but it removes a different friction — the wait for a parent to confirm. A child photographs the finished chore, AI reviews it immediately against what the chore asked for, and above your confidence threshold the points land straight away instead of sitting until someone gets around to checking. If the ADHD-specific coaching and pet mechanic are what your child responds to, Joon is built for that; if the delay between finishing and being credited is what breaks the habit, ChoreSplit closes that gap.

What does ChoreSplit do that Joondoesn't?

It verifies the work instead of asking a parent to confirm every task, and the reward is real rather than in-game. It also adds family leaderboards, streak multipliers, multi-household support, and one flat price covering unlimited family members.

Who confirms the task

Joon: Joon's loop runs through the parent: a child completes a quest, a parent confirms it, the pet advances.

ChoreSplit: AI reads the photo first. It auto-approves only when the model approves and its confidence clears a threshold you set, so the queue you review is the short list of things the AI wasn't sure about — not every task.

What the reward is

Joon: Joon's rewards live inside the game: virtual coins and a pet that evolves. Custom rewards are virtual only.

ChoreSplit: Points go toward real-world rewards a parent sets and grants — screen time, a movie night, an outing, a privilege. ChoreSplit issues no card, holds no money and moves no money.

AI features

Joon: Joon does not offer AI photo verification, AI chore suggestions or AI project generation.

ChoreSplit: All three. Suggestions come from a plain-text description of your household and support follow-up edits like 'make them weekly'; project generation turns an event into a 5-12 task plan scheduled against that date.

Household shape

Joon: Joon is priced and structured per child, with no multi-household support.

ChoreSplit: One flat plan covering unlimited family members, equal co-parent access, and multi-household support for kids who split time between two homes.

ChoreSplit vs Joon: feature by feature

Joon carries points, daily-quest streaks and pet evolution as its badge system, with co-parent access. ChoreSplit adds AI photo verification, AI chore suggestions, AI project generation, family leaderboards, streak multipliers and multi-household support. Neither app issues a debit card or holds money.
