How to Mark Tasks Complete

Marking tasks complete is the core action in ChoreSplit. It's how family members earn points!

Steps

1. Open Today view — This shows all tasks due today

2. Find your task — Tasks assigned to you are highlighted with your color

3. Tap the checkmark — Click the circle or check button on the task

4. See your points — Points are added to your total immediately!

Alternative Methods

• Swipe right on a task to quickly mark it complete
• From Week view: Tap a task and select "Mark Complete"
• Parent completion: Parents can mark tasks complete for any family member

Tips

• Complete tasks as you finish them to build the habit
• The app tracks your completion streak automatically
• If photo verification is enabled, you'll be prompted to take a picture

Troubleshooting

Can't mark a task complete?

• Check that the task is assigned to you
• Verify it's scheduled for today (not a future date)
• If it requires parent approval, ask a parent to verify
