How Points Work

Points are the core currency in ChoreSplit. Earn them by completing tasks, spend them on rewards.

Earning Points

• Complete a task — Earn the task's point value
• Maintain streaks — Bonus points for consecutive days
• Achievements — One-time bonus points for milestones

Point Values

Tasks have different point values based on difficulty:

Task Type	Suggested Points
Quick & Easy	5-10 points
Medium Effort	10-20 points
Time-Consuming	20-50 points
Major Chores	50+ points

Spending Points

Points can be redeemed for family rewards:

• Small rewards: 50-100 points
• Medium rewards: 100-300 points
• Big rewards: 300+ points

Point Balance

Your point balance shows:

• Total earned: All points ever earned
• Available: Points you can spend now
• Spent: Points used on rewards

Tips

• Points never expire
• Parents set point values when creating tasks
• Bonus points from streaks add up fast!

Adjust point values to match your family's economy. If rewards are being earned too fast or slow, tweak task points accordingly.
