How to Join a Family via Invite Link

Got an invite link from a family member? Here's how to join their family in ChoreSplit.

Steps

1. Click the invite link — Open the link you received (text, email, etc.)

2. Create an account (if needed) — Sign up with your email and password

3. Review the family — You'll see the family name you're joining

4. Tap "Join Family" — Confirm you want to join

5. You're in! — Start viewing and completing tasks

What Happens After Joining

• You appear in the family member list
• You can see all family tasks and assignments
• Your role (Parent/Child) is set by the family admin
• You start with zero points and build your stats

Tips

• Make sure you trust the person who sent the invite
• You can only be in one family at a time
• If you need to change roles, ask a Parent to update your settings

Troubleshooting

Already in a family? You need to leave your current family before joining a new one. Go to Family Settings → Leave Family.

Link says "expired"? Ask the person to send a new invite link. Links can expire for security.
