How to Add Tasks to a Project

Add individual tasks to break down your project into steps

Before you start

Make sure you've completed these first:

Projects become powerful when you break them into tasks. Each task can be assigned and tracked.

Steps

  1. Open your project — Go to Projects and tap the project name

  2. Tap "Add Task" — Click the + Add Task button

  3. Enter task details:

    • Name: Specific action (e.g., "Sort through boxes")
    • Points: How many points for completing
    • Assignee: Who should do this task?
  4. Tap "Add" — The task is added to the project

  5. Repeat — Add more tasks to complete the project

Tips for Breaking Down Projects

  • Make tasks specific and actionable
  • Each task should take 5-30 minutes
  • Order tasks logically (what comes first?)
  • Don't forget setup and cleanup tasks

Example: "Clean Garage" Project

  1. Take everything out of garage (15 pts)
  2. Sweep and mop floor (10 pts)
  3. Sort items into keep/donate/trash (20 pts)
  4. Organize tools on wall (15 pts)
  5. Put back items neatly (10 pts)
  6. Take donations to drop-off (10 pts)

Tips

  • Assign different tasks to different people
  • Higher points for harder tasks
  • Mark the order so people know what to do first
